Souris Valley Humane Society Update:
Foster homes: We are still looking for anyone that can help us with foster homes. This is not for the animals we currently have in the shelter, but for the 300 animals that are waiting to come into the shelter. Prior to our temporary closure it took approximately 4 to 6 months to get an animal off the waiting list; we now expect it to be as long as 8 months once we reopen. A foster home allows us to work our adoption process through Petfinder. Despite the fact that our doors are closed we are dedicated to our customers; with your help we can continue to accomplish our mission.

Fundraising Activities:
Fundraising has not stopped; some upcoming events include Furry Friends and
Family Fotos, Oct 20/21 and Phantom of the Shelter Ball the month of October.
Microchip clinics:
We
are looking to take our microchips on the road, call for an appointment (we will
come to you) or if you have a central location we can accommodate.
Spay and Neuter Fund: An anonymous donator generously donated money to spay or neuter Boxer and Boxer breeds at no cost to owners.
The Souris Valley Humane Society is committed to the community; we will reopen as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued support. Please direct all questions to 701-839-6770.
