Pet Match
Pet Match is a new community service we provide at the Souris Valley Humane Society. Some of the folks who have chosen to put their pets on our waiting list (a list compiled of people wanting, for whatever reason, to surrender their pets to us to be put up for adoption) can now send in a picture and description for posting on our website. If you see a pet you’d be interested in visiting with and possibly adopting, please contact the Humane Society at 852-6133 to set up an appointment.
Dakota
Hi, my name is Dakota. I am an 11 month old Brittany Spaniel Mix (we think with Sheltie). I am neutered and up to date on all shots. My mom and dad don't have the time to train me the rest of the way, & because of my moms work schedule and how rough I am with the kitties I am often in my crate or outside. Mom says that is not a good life for such a good boy! I am not fully housebroken & I do bark a little too much but if you give me a chance I bet I will learn fast. I am very protective of my family. I probably would be better at a home either by myself or with other friendly dog(s). Small children seem to make me nervous (right now I live with an 8 year old and we love to play!). I LOVE to go on car trips and go to the dog park, I like to lie in your lap and relax. But I like to play a lot too. I love lots of attention and would like to go to a loving home. I will come with Food, Leash, a toy or two and food dishes. Please ask to see me if you think I might be the dog for you!

Golden Retriever, 8-9 months old.
Good with other dogs and kids; I know how to use a doggy door and am housetrained. I am current on all my shots but am not yet neutered. I’d make a wonderful family pet as I love to get attention. I enjoy being outside so would do well on a farm too.

Hello, my name is Bayes and I’m 11 years old. My favorite pastimes are sleeping and being loved. I’m neutered and I am a fantastic companion. My primary job is to keep you from getting lonely. All I require is to be let outside to do my business and be fed. I love children and enjoy keeping and eye on them, I have even been know to let them crawl all over me. I need a new home because my owners are moving to Ohio and I don’t wish to spend an extended time in a kennel. Please take me home, I really do love everyone.

Hello, my name is Storm and I’m 9 years old. I am very quiet and a great companion. I love people and children and I am a great house dog. I don’t make a lot of noise, in fact most of the time you’ll never know I’m around. My favorite pastime is eating dog food and ice cubes. I need a new home because my owners are moving to Ohio and I don’t wish to spend an extended time in a kennel. If you take me home I’ll be your best friend.
